Am Zirbenweg Panorama RundwanderungPanorama-Walking Tour „Zirbenweg“

/ „Swiss Stone Pine - Walk“
Experience Innsbruck and treat yourself with a nice walk at the Olympic mountain

If you’ve got the chance to make your ascent easier, take it!
Following this Motto your walk will start with a strength saving ride with the gondola cable car up to Patscherkofel.
The higher you get the better and more impressive the view over the Inn Valley and the Patscherkofel gets.
The first part of the walk takes you from the top station of Patscherkofel gondola-lift towards the alpine guesthouse of Boscheben which has a very nice view over Viggar Valley as well as over the Tux Alps.

Following a pleasant walk you’ll soon spot the top of Glungezer Mountain prior reaching the end of your first stage, Glungezer hut, which is set a little lower.
As a lovely bonus you’ll get to walk along the swell seven kilometres long “Zirbenweg” which is about 2.000 m.

Expect impressive views down “under your feet” like the Inn Valley or Nordpark which is the ski area across the valley and part of the Alpine Park that is situated there. The middle station Seegrube and the top station Hafelekar are two very easy to spot buildings in that area.

If you’re lucky you’ll even find the tops of Zugspitze which is the highest mountain of
Germany or the “Zahmer Kaiser” by Kufstein.
The Mieming mountain chain or the Stubai Alps are a little closer and will be looking over your shoulder all the way throughout this walk through the largest collection of Swiss Stone Pines of all of Europe.

With the following walk back to Igls this easy to intermediate walk finds its end in a very unique way.
