From Innsbruck to „The Romantic Road“InnBikePath, LechtalBikePath and Royal Palaces
You’ll cruise along the Upper InntalBikePath and see cultivated landscapes surrounded by mountains.
Once you cross over the Pass Hahntennjoch you will ride smoothly to Lechtal, which is where the last natural white water river of the Northern Alps runs through mountainous landscapes.
The river Lech is known for its turquoise color and its picturesque surroundings. On the tracks of King Ludwig the 2nd you will ride towards “The Romantic Road”.

Program
Day 1: Individual arrival at Innsbruck
Life at the Alps Metropolis
Day 2: From the heart of the Alps to Upper Inntal (Innsbruck – Haiming/Ötztal / approx. 50 km)
Discover the fascinating Upper Inntal, enjoy the view at ruin of Fragenstein and visit the 1273 founded monastery Stams, which is the spiritual heart of the region. If you enjoy swimming you will have fun at Haiming because it’s THE water and outdoor center of Tyrol.
Day 3: From river Inn to river Lech (Haiming/Ötztal – Steeg in Lechtal / approx. 50 km)
Passing the old roman bath by Roppen your first stage will take you to Imst. To save your energy and to have time to realize the beauty of nature you will take a shuttle bus across Pass Hahntennjoch to Lechtal. You will love the last natural wild water river of the Northern Alps.
Day 4: The last of the Wild (Lechtal biketour / approx. 60 km)
Escort the last wild water river of Tyrol all the way to Reutte. Discover unknown worlds, broken rock banks and alluvial forests. “Frauenschuh” und “Deutsche Tamariske” are edible plants…just next to the roads!
Also the animal kingdom has more to give than just a king. Called Bluatschink it’s the equivalent to Nessie and can be very dangerous…
Day 5: The empire of the fairy king (Reutte – Fuessen – Reutte / approx. 35 km)
Today you will cross the border to Bavaria. In Fuessen you will come across the world famous castles of Neuschwanstein and Hohenschwangau.
They are what made King Ludwig the 2nd immortal. If you’ve got time left just take a ride around lake Forggen.
Day 6: Zugspitze and Karwendel (Reutte – Garmisch-Partenkirchen – Innsbruck / approx. 45 km)
After a hilly ride you will get to the Olympic town of Garmisch-Partenkirchen and discover the secrets of “Lueftl” painting.
Take the train back to Tyrol and enjoy one of the most spectacular train rides of Europe and the view off Martinswall – just like emperor Maximilian.
Day 7: Discover Innsbruck (approx. 25/35 km)
Discover the best sights and sides of the Tyrolean capital city of Innsbruck, the heart of the Alps. You might know sites like the Arch of Triumph, Maria-Theresien-Street, or the Golden Roof.
But have you heard of the new cable cars up to Hungerburg and Nordpark or the new Ski Jump at Bergisel ?
You may also go for a guided hike around Innsbruck (Mid of June till the end of September).
Day 8: Individual departure or extension
